What's going on is the Objective Jerk and I am said jerk. It's been a long minute. I haven't I haven't recorded in a long time. A lot of that has to do with because of the typhoon that that hit us, which actually where I'm at, it didn't it wasn't bad. It was windy. It rained a little, but it was nothing compared to what we've gotten before. I mean it was looking pretty pretty hairy. I had, you know, family, or not family, but I had a friend of mine who he you know he lives in Louisiana, so he, you know, he he watches the weather. He keeps track, I guess, and you know, being in Louisiana, you live through some hurricanes and stuff. So and I've I've been there for Katrina, but so he was like, dude, man, this thing's looking nasty. Are you gonna be alright? And I was actually a little concerned. I mean, I wasn't in the direct path, I was still pretty far from it. But still, it was so massive, you know. I was like, man, it's gonna get, you know, the wind is what bothers me. My wife doesn't like all the rain, but we didn't get hardly any rain. It did get we had some gusts of winds and stuff, and it was enough to lose power, so for like, you know, a good portion of the day, we had to have a generator on. But what was annoying was the internet. It took over a week to get our internet back on. And, you know, I could understand if it was just like devastation, you know, but we weren't really hit bad at all. So it's like, why did it take a week? I'm generally asking, like, why did it take a week? I was getting pissed off because it's just kind of it's just kind of annoying, you know. And will will will they prorate us and take that week off from our monthly bill? No, you know, it's like I think what it is is just because they have I don't know, it's the people that do the scheduling and the appointments for the service. They s I don't know, it's like a separate, it's not all the one company, you know. If it was actually people that worked at the actual uh globe, then you know, they need to like combine it or something because yeah, the customer service, it started off really good, but it's kind of gotten shitty. And it's like I want to do what's the the you know the X internet Starlink that is available to do here, but I'm like, man, I just kind of worry about customer service for that, you know. Replacement if something gets damaged or whatever, I don't know. Seems like we'd be out even longer, so I don't know. I mean the chances of the internet going down is you know, I wouldn't really have to worry about it. It's just power. If you got power, you'd have internet. So I don't know. I don't know. Anybody that uses Starlink, let me know. I know a lot of people do, especially that live like remote and everything. So I don't know. Anyway, but yeah, so that's kind of why I haven't recorded in a while. But it has, so it's been no, it's not quite a week since I've had internet back, but I don't know, I just haven't been in nothing was really man, that made a big difference in the way it sounded, huh? But I don't know, just nothing really kind of going on that is making me want to discuss anything, really. You know, things that I used to kind of talk about, I just I'm kind of just not caring, you know, the politics and stuff like that. I mean I care, but I used to get really worked up and and and but now I'm just kind of like, dude, I don't even want it's all just theatrics. You know, it I don't know. Yeah, there's you know, Epstein, all that kind of stuff is still going on, but it's like, I don't know, I'm just kinda at the point where it's like it just it doesn't matter. I'll vote for what I vote for, but I'm not gonna like lose sleep and get all worked up over whatever. Like I said, what's important is you know Jesus and the Catholics. Yes. The real Christianity. Anyway. But I guess I don't know, so there's a thing going on about uh DC, you know, Superman, Batman, and and Zack Snyder. So it's kind of looking like Zack Snyder's universe could come back, which is kind of crazy. I mean, that's cool. You know, I like I like the Snyder verse. I have I own you know the Man of Steel, Justice League, and and and Batman vs. Superman. I enjoy those films. Again, I wouldn't call myself a Snyder bro, because I think to be that, well, I don't know, maybe I would fall into that category, I guess, because I like I you know, I've said it before, I liked most of his films. I didn't like Army of Dead. You know, that's kind of when I stopped really kind of getting excited about films, I think. And it wasn't due to being like woke or anything, it just wasn't the greatest film, you know. But I think that was the last time that I was kind of excited. I remember when, you know, it was it was announced and and they had a trailer for it, I was like, oh man, that looks good, you know. So I was excited for it. I you know kept track on my calendar, like when that was gonna, you know, be released and or available for streaming. And me and the family, we sat and watched it, and I was I was excited, you know, and it wasn't it had lots of good stuff to it, but man, I don't know. It just I think he was trying to start a universe in it, so it was kind of little, you know, like some of the zombies were like robots or something, and I don't know. I think he was trying to do too much. He should have kept it a little bit more basic. And I don't know. It had I think it had potential, but yeah, I was a little let down with that. I've only watched it once. I tried watching it again, but I was just like, yeah, I don't know. And then Rebel Moon, I want I finally watched the R-rated. It's not bad, you know, but it it uh yeah, you know, you just see Star Wars throughout it. And that's what it was, you know. It was like his Star Wars pitch idea or whatever. I think actually, I don't know, I would have liked it better if they didn't have the little swords, because they had swords in it that would that were like plasma, not lightsabers, which were you know the replacement to the lightsabers. So I don't know. I kind of wish they didn't do that. I mean that's kind of stupid, I guess, trivial, but I don't know. Because it just the movie is is it's not bad, like it's pretty crazy. It's not generally the type of science fiction I like that's just kind of really kind of crazy off the wall. You know what I mean? I like science fiction that's a little reality-based, but you know, I like it. But then every time, yeah, they would bust out a sword and it would light up. I would just like, oh, this is wanting to be like Star Wars. You know what I mean? Everything else I liked about it, I would probably watch it again, I guess. I so I watched the original, the G or the PG-rated one, and then when the R came out, I don't know why. I mean, I've talked about it before. I think I think he wanted to do the R-rated, and then Netflix was like, well, let's can we, you know, and they were arguing for PG and or PG 13 or whatever, and I think that was the compromise. It's like, okay, well, let's release the PG 13 and then let me release my R-rated one, you know. But they should just let him do his R-rated one. I think if he had just released the R-rated one without the PG 13, I think maybe he would be doing more of the Rebel Moon instead of it being cancelled, you know. Because it took me a while to watch. I like I said, I just finally watched the second part, the R-rated version. Just like, I don't know, not even a month ago, I think. So I don't know. But it's, you know, so long story short, I don't consider myself a Snyder, bro, but I do I do generally like his films. I think, yeah, he goes a little hard with the slow motion sometimes. That gets a little okay, come on. But so I understand people's criticism of that, but you know, I like I said, he made me a fan of Superman. I didn't really care much for Superman. I didn't hate Superman or nothing, but I just was like, eh, okay. I just always thought Superman was boring because he's he's got all these powers and can do anything, and just you know, was a Boy Scout, kind of I don't know, it just wasn't my thing. So the way that they did Man of Steel, I was like, oh man, it's pretty cool. So I like it, you know. I like Henry Cavill, I like what they did with it. And I was one of the people that loved that he broke Zod's neck, you know, he didn't have a choice, and when he did that, I was like, yes, that was badass, you know. So maybe I'm the minority, but you know, the people that are like been Superman fans forever didn't like that, you know, and they didn't like Batman killing, which I did not care for. Or I mean I did, I didn't, you know, I was fine with. I didn't care. You know, I mean it's kind of cool. Like it's I don't know, it's kind of ridiculous. I think in the comic books, I think it works, but in like film, it's like dude, you're just gonna keep capturing the same and they keep getting out and they keep killing people. It's like there comes to a point where it's like, dude, you just gotta end it, you know. So the whole no killing, it's like, okay, you should try not to, not you know, not be like the punisher, but you know, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, right? So that didn't bother me either, really. And I knew it was just it was like a phase that he was going through, or at least that's kind of what they were kind of going for. Anyway, okay, kind of going off track here. I mean, not really, I'm here to talk about it, but so what's his face? The guy did the recent Superman movie sucked. It flopped, right? And all this other crap is just not nobody cares. So it's it's going away. Maybe Gunn will stay on. Yeah, that's his name. Gun, James Gunn. For other stuff, and but he's not gonna be in charge, and you know, maybe he'll be. You know, that's the thing, is he I totally forgot about that. I watched somebody else talking about it, but like Dawn of the Dead was written, either co-written or written by James Gunn and directed by Zack Snyder. Maybe that's you know, that's what they need to do is get James Gunn to write, or like Zack Snyder to have the story idea, James Gunn to write it, and then you know, and they both kind of collaborately come to an agreement, and then and then Snyder directs it. I think that could probably work. Because I think Zack's got good ideas, but he's not a good. You know, pulled directly from you know the comics or but I guess I don't know. I I think he helped write. No, it was the David S. Goyer guy did Man of Steel, right? And yeah, so he needs to just let other people do the writing, you know, and he just stick to maybe the ideas and then and then the directing. I think I think he'd be much more successful. I think he really wants to write, but yeah, it doesn't work out so great. You know, Rebel Moon for and you know, which again is not it's not that bad. It's just not really my you know, I'm not trying to think of like sci-fi. So, I mean, you know, I grew up on Star Wars, love Star Wars. Like Looper, I like a lot because it's still very reality-based, but there's elements of sci-fi. That's just what I that's what I'm more into. The crazy, crazy sci-fi movies. I'm not. I mean, John Carter was a little sci-fi. I mean, it starts off in you know, 1800s, England or whatever. And that one's pretty crazy. I remember liking that, but I haven't seen that since, you know, over 10 years or whatever, so I have to watch it again. You know, Avatar, I was able, I haven't seen the other Avatars 2 and 3. Well, three's not out yet, I guess, but I yeah, I don't know. I like the first Avatar, but I don't know, that's kind of it. That's all I want, is just the one the first one. I'll probably watch the other ones eventually someday, but I did just watch Abyss because I ordered it and got the Blu-ray 4K, so I watched that with my family. Love that film. You know, I mean, I don't know, James Cameron can't do no wrong, so I'm sure the other one. I just I don't know. Like I really enjoyed Avatar, like it was oh cool, very new world, immersive, kind of whatever. But my favorite parts were the human side, the military side. Yeah, the other stuff was kind of cool, but the balance, you know, and I haven't seen the second one, so I can't say for sure, but I'm assuming it's all basically the avatars, the aliens, and you know, that the world, the Pandora world or something. So it's like, I don't know. Nothing but that doesn't really excite me. Maybe that's why, you know. I think I just realized why I didn't haven't seen it yet. Man, I keep getting off track. So Guns DC is is flopping, and and Zack Snyder's been posting pictures, and everybody's like, oh, what's going on? Everybody was kind of like he's teasing something, but it's been getting a lot of hype built up for it, you know. So and so, and then Warner Brothers is getting sold. So, you know, there's a strong, strong possibility, but they don't nobody's gonna really know until the the the buyout or merger, purchase, whatever, is done. I kind of think like I don't know, I think they're just kind of putting it off. I think it's probably already basically done, but they don't want to release it yet, just because it is building a lot of hype. But so Saudi Arabia, I guess, is who is friends with with Zack Snyder, or people in Saudi Arabia who, you know, they have a crap load of money, and like they want to buy it, and and then they'll let Zach, which okay, that's kind of cool, I guess, sort of, but then it's like okay, so we have an American film company that's now gonna be a Saudi Arabia film company, and everything that's part of it, it's all gonna be owned by Saudi Arabia. What's gonna happen if that happens? Are they gonna not allow people to eat bacon in their films and stuff? You know what I mean? Like, how much what's gonna happen with all that? Now, I would assume and I would hope that if that were to happen, that they would still continue, you know, here America, you still do your thing. It's just, you know, technically we we own it. And then they would probably just have a production company that's Saudi Arabia based, but still, you know what I mean? That's what I'm kind of thinking. Because I think they realize that if they were to just totally make it, you know, Muslim, whatever Saudi kind of, it would just, it wouldn't, it wouldn't, it would do well there, but not not here, you know. So I think they would have a little more sense than that, but who knows? They got a lot of money to throw around. And then what is it, Netflix and then Comcast? And then Comcast is part of I forget. Is Comcast with Paramount? Or is Paramount out now? I don't know. People are like, oh, I want Paramount. Like, some people are arguing for like Paramount because you know it's an American company, keep movies in the theaters, which I I understand all that, but look what Paramount did to Star Trek though, man. Star Trek is crap. See, tr Star Trek is about as sci-fi-ish I can I can handle, you know. Like I love Deep Space Nine and the Star Trek movies, the old ones, and then I like the first the first remake Star Trek movie. I like that one. Second one's not bad. Actually, I kinda like the third one too. I watched it recently. But yeah, it was just those three, right? So I don't know why. Well, anyway. But oh man, see, look at the sounds look at right here. My microphone, dude. Anyway. So I don't know. I don't know, you know, who to buy or what net, you know, people are like, oh yeah, Netflix. You know, because Snyder, you know, did like Rebel Moon and he has a relationship with Netflix and everything. But Netflix, they put out some crap too, man. And then plus they're you know, they're talking about the theaters, which I don't really go to the theaters anymore. So even, you know, even my most absolute favorite film, like, I don't know, I'm trying to think of something that would I I you know, I'm I'm I'm older, so I can just wait. You know, I don't I the thing for me is it's not about the price and the money, because I don't really go that much anyway. It's the people that are just obnoxious with their phones and loud and talking and all that kind of crap. That's what bugs me. So I just I have no desire to go to the theater. I mean, for two reasons, for that, and for the fact that everything Hollywood does now sucks, and and I don't want to support it really. So I just, you know, the things I like I I buy or rent and and watch at home. So I think theaters are kind of screwed, except for you know, the IMAX or the specialty kind of whatever, but just a typical theater, I think a lot of them are gonna close because my generation and and the gen, whatever's after us, I don't know, I get them all mixed up. You know, they're kind of on the same boat. And then the the current retards of today, they don't care. You know, they don't they don't care. I think it'll come back though. I think the young kids today, who are the TikTokers and all that crap, once they get older, they're gonna want to like, oh man, and then somebody will have a theater and then it'll be trendy, and then all of a sudden they'll be all over the place again or something. But yeah, I think as of now, basic theaters are gonna a lot of them are gonna close. Not completely, you know. I mean, there's always been some drive-throughs, drive-throughs, drive-ins, but anyway, so I'm just kind of rambling here, but yeah, I think I'm excited. I mean, as much as I can be, I don't really get excited anymore, but I think I think Snyder vs. He's gonna at least be able to kind of finish what he started, you know, make another man of steel, make a standalone Batman with with what's his face? Ben Ak. Ben Affleck. And then do like another Justice League film, you know. I think that would be pretty cool. And, you know, they can get everybody in, except for the dude that played the Flash. I didn't see the Flash movie. But that guy's just I mean, he was good as Flash, but the dude is a psycho. I don't know. They should recast him or or I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, so that's kind of cool. What do you guys think? Are you guys hyped for Snyderverse to come back? And it's looking like it's gonna. But you know, I'm kinda like I'm waiting till it's for sure. I mean it's looking, you know, looking like pretty the probabilities are in that, you know, Zach's favor in the Snyderverse, but I don't know. You know, it's kinda hard until until the ink's dry on the contracts and all that stuff. But I did also too, I saw that Netflix said that they would release you know the films and the theaters. You know, and I was thinking too, I think somebody said it or somebody said something similar and it made me think of of it. But I think that's that's the only way you can make theaters both theaters and streaming still work, is I know a lot of people are kind of complaining about the length how long movies are, like the The Last Running Man movie, which I have no I don't care to watch. I like the original, of course. What's the dude, what's his name? Powell? Glenn Powell? He I don't know, he's not like bad or nothing, but I just I don't understand. I've only seen the the Top Gun movie with him. I know he's done lots of other stuff, but I just I don't see I don't see the the big deal with him. Like I don't get it, you know? I get Henry Cavill, or I get Jason Mamola or whatever. Vin Diesel, you know, I understand why they are like movie stars or what as much as they can be today. But I don't know, that dude, I don't know. I don't I don't I don't see him being, you know, he should just stay maybe a character actor, whatever. Anyway, so the thing is I think for them to keep theaters and everything going is they need to I hate to say it, but they need to do the Snyder thing. They need to do the Rebel Moon thing, they need to not make it PG-13, but just condensed, you know, 90-minute movie. Here's here's the new Punisher film, right? 90 minutes, bam, in the theater. If you want the extended cut, you you watch it on streaming. So then that gives people a reason. You know, they'll go to the theater. Oh, it's 90 minutes, cool. It's gonna be short and stuff. Like, man, I want to watch it on streaming because it's gonna have extra stuff and it's extended and all that kind of stuff. I think that's what they have to do. It's just released, you know, the the theater cut and then the streaming cut, you know. And then you can always buy whatever, I guess. They should still make physical copies available, though. So it's like, you know, theater cut, streaming cut, and then you can buy whichever one you want or both, you know, whatever. That's what they gotta do. What do you think? Do you agree with me? Do you not agree with me? Shut up. All right. Thanks for hanging out. Appreciate your time. I'll see you guys next time, and God bless. All right, bye.
