Sweat through another episode with no AC; discussing a viral public arrest in the Philippines, the problem with tainted evidence, and how broken incentives invite lazy policing. We also connect free education, healthcare strain, and a left-field Jim Carrey theory to one theme: incentives shape outcomes.

• When the AC is broke, Americans sweat.
• The differences between Filipino and American carnivals.
• Planted evidence in 4k viral clip and why it undermines due process
• Police incentives, evidence integrity, and body cam accountability
• Trust in institutions versus DIY emergency plans
• Free college, work ethic, and misaligned rewards
• Expat life trade-offs and the lack of desire to return to the U.S.
• Jim Carrey looking different and why people chase conspiracies
• The throughline: incentives drive behavior across systems

Let me know what you think, and I’ll see you next time. All right, God bless. All right, bye.

Cold Open And Topic Tease

SPEAKER_00

You are listening to the objective jerk, and I am said jerk. How you doing? What's up, what's up, what's up? Couple things to talk about. Jim Carrey. Some crazy corruption in the Philippines. Oh yeah, I know I gotta s I always tell myself I need to kinda hit at the things I'm gonna talk about at the beginning. To pull you in, but I always forget.

SPEAKER_01

So real quick, recording the podcast.

Life Without Central AC

The Carnival Scene Explained

“Take The Gun” Video Setup

SPEAKER_00

The AC in my so in the Philippines, they don't have central AC. Well, I mean they do, assuming. I I've never seen it though. I always see split type and the big, you know, tower ACs. I don't know if maybe some office buildings in Manila do or not. I would assume so, but it's just not common like it is in the States. So, like for my house, I have a big split type, the big refrigerator looking one in the house that kind of cools the house. And then we have a split type one in my room, there's one in my one son's room, and then my other two kids have like the window ones, which suck, but you know, anyway, so that's how we cool our house, right? So a couple months ago, like for me, the AC is on 24-7 almost, 365 days a year. Because, you know, the seasons here in the Philippines is hot, hotter, and hottest. You know, so for me to be comfortable, I gotta have the AC on. I don't have it cranked like a freezer, although I wish it was, but anyway. So we went somewhere for a few days. Oh, we went to Manila, I think. When we went to Manila to, it was just overnight, and turned off the AC because we weren't in there, you know, save electricity, right? Makes sense. Came back, the AC wouldn't work. So it's like the fan and the can the I'm not a, I don't know, the but the you know, the cooling system uh that's outside, like ants infiltrated it and tried to make a nest or something. I don't know, they did something and they destroyed the motherboard. It's like what the crap. So since then, we haven't had an AC in my room on. It's just the main one in the house, and then I got like three fans in my room to kind of pull in cool air, right? So when I record the podcast, so I gotta get that fixed before it gets too hot. Because the the AC, what I got now is not gonna be enough. It gets too hot. But so when I record the podcast, I turn off all the fans because it messes with the audio. So when I do the podcast, I get a little hot, a little hat. So I gotta get through it quick. The five-minute podcast. But yeah, what am I gonna talk about first? I'll save Jim Carrey for last because that was kind of like a last minute. I just saw some stuff on it. It's kind of crazy. First thing I'm gonna talk about, I'm gonna show the video too for the videos. For those of you listening at home and you want to see it, look up you know on YouTube and Rumble and BitChute. You can watch the clip that I'm about to watch and discuss, and I'll play it along on the video as well. But uh basically, this just kind of shows I don't know, it's so I think from what little information I can get that's translated because it's you know it's not maybe I should try and start checking some of this stuff and then putting subtitles. I tried to see if I could translate subtitles for it or something, but it just doesn't work. But anyway, over here they have carnivals, but it's not like they are in the States. Yeah, they have they have a couple rides and some Ferris wheels, but it's mainly the games and it's like gambling, like they do gambling and stuff. That's what most people go for to try and win some money or whatever. They don't win prizes, it's money. I mean, they probably have prizes for the kid games or whatever, but anyway. So there's a video that I'm about to watch. I have watched it not in its entirety, I just kind of saw some parts of it, but I did not fart. There was a little table here I pushed. Okay. So there's a guy that shows he's sitting there, and all of a sudden, like he gets surrounded by you know the police, and the police have a gun in their hand and they're trying to give it to the guy. Here, take the gun, take the gun, take the gun. He's like, What? I don't want it, I don't want it. And then as soon as the cop kind of gets him to touch it, they put handcuffs on him and they arrest him. It's like, you know, what? Right? Like, that's crazy, right? But alright, so get the ready. I'm talking to myself, so get the video ready. Let's hit play. That's not it. Where's the edited one? Oh, it's probably this one. Yeah, here we go. Oh, oh, oh, oh. I'm gonna have audio for the thing, so I need to.

SPEAKER_01

How's that gonna work though? How's that gonna work? How's that gonna work? I'm trying to think. I'm trying to multitask.

Watching The Clip And Reactions

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because you can pick that up pretty good. Maybe I'll just have the audio off on the okay. Starting over, very beginning. Here we go. Push and play now. So you see. Oh, I didn't get the part. Like, it shows it for a split second. Him walking up, the cop walking up with the gun in his hand. And you see the guy's like, What? No, I ain't touching, I ain't touching. He's trying to talk him into grabbing the gun. Take the gun. Take the gun. My wife said that he just keeps saying, take it, come on, take it, grab it, take it. I actually meant to see if there was another updated video because this is actually getting a little attention here, which is good. So he's talking to him. I need to get her to translate this, but what's funny is look at he's kinda like, as soon as he grabs his hand, he grabs his hand, he puts the gun in his hand. Oh, there you go, got the prints. Let's put the cuffs on him. Like it's all on the video. See, look now, they're putting the cuffs on him. Alright, I'm gonna stop it now. So, you know, so this is why, like, I don't know. I okay. Obviously, what they're doing is illegal, right? What I think, and the little information that I've gotten, what I think it is, is the guy is actually a bad guy, you know, and that was his gun. I think he got wind of the police there and he tossed the gun. But even if that's the case, even if this dude's a pedophile douchebag and deserves everything, you can't just because somebody's a bad guy, you can't, you know, break the law and and taint evidence to get him to go to jail. And that's obviously what they were doing, and they're getting away with it, kinda. But they do this kind of crap a lot, from what I'm told. The police here, I've I've I've expressed my opinion of, you know, and it's you know, I haven't been all over, so and I haven't worked, but I have dealt with my local PD and some other, and quite frankly, they're garbage. They're they don't want to do their job, they're lazy, and that's what this is to me. This is what this shows to me as if they're lazy. They maybe set up a little sting, it went south, it didn't work out. Oh, gotta try again next time. But instead of doing that, they forced it to happen. They didn't want to keep working at it, they didn't want to build the case and and do all the they just want to they want all the recognition and the pay and the money for not doing anything. That's basically what it is. The police here don't do shit, they don't respond to anything. The only thing they do is they set up little roadblocks and they check people on mopeds hoping that they don't have their license so they can write them a ticket and they take pictures of them. Look at us working, look at us working. My local around here, from what I've seen, Filipino police suck balls. If you know someone that is and wants to, you know, explain how I could be wrong, let me know. I wasn't, you know. I've met a few cops that were like retired, they seemed okay, but I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

And it's just, I don't know.

Evidence Tainting And Laziness

SPEAKER_00

I just don't, you know, I was I was never a civilian law enforcement officer. I was always connected to the military, whether I was in the military or I was working for the army. Various security and law enforcement jobs. Some of them were very similar to working, you know, just regular police, and some of them were not. But, you know, so I I backed the blue, I guess you could say, or, you know, but the thing is, if people do something wrong, I'm gonna call it out, you know, because that's that's bullshit. You know, the things with ice and all that stuff, if they do something wrong, I'm gonna say it, or I'm gonna, I'm gonna, you know. Or if I think they did something wrong, but a lot of people the people usually either immediately jump to defend the police without knowing anything or whatever, and then you have people that attack police without knowing anything or whatever, you know.

SPEAKER_01

So it's just come on.

Policing, Body Cams, And Trust

SPEAKER_00

I hate Mac. I really do. But it's like I'm stuck with it, man. Yeah, what's gonna happen? I'm gonna get a new computer and it's gonna be another Mac because my phone and doing airdrops and all that just sucks. Anyway. So yeah, so it's just I just think it's just laziness. That's what it boils down to. It's lazy. They don't want to do their job, they don't want to actually work, you know. They're very I've said it before, you Filipinos, there's a lot of people that bust their ass and they work hard, and then you have that are just lazy as hell. You know, my wife has a family member who went to college. See, that's kind of the thing with like they have free college here. People go to college, they get their degrees, but it doesn't really help. It doesn't make people successful. My wife has a family member who went to school as a diesel mechanic. Every vehicle here is basically diesel, all the cars, all the trucks, not all, but most of them. So he gets his, you know, his degree in diesel mechanics, and what does he do? He drives a tricycle, taxi, because it's easy. It's lazy. You know what I mean? It's like, dude, you could be you could open a shop or work for a shop, work on diesel, you know what I mean? But that's he got the education probably for free. You know, he went to school here because it's free. I mean, you have to pay for like more supply stuff, you know, you have to pay for your uniforms and various things like that, but the education is free. Yeah, it's a little more, you know, like a job or you're in high school, they have attendance and stuff, you can't, you know, because it's free. They're gonna make sure you go. But that's the thing, is like, you know, like communist people think, oh, everybody just has access to the money and do whatever. Society would be great. No, it would break down, it would crumble. It would not work because you just have those type of people that ruin it. There's that study where a guy, I don't remember what class it was, I want to say it was probably some you know, government, whatever kind of class that dealt and discussed communism. And some point in the beginning of the course or the class, the semester, or whatever, people were arguing about how communism is good because they're young, dumb, and full of cum, right? That's all they know. They're stupid. They don't they see what oh this guy said on TikTok, so it must be true. And so they were arguing about it. So then the professor, which they're far and few between anymore, teachers and professors now are pieces of garbage, too. But he was like, okay, this is what we'll do. So they already had like you know, the first test, and you could see who was who was good and you know, paying attention, taking notes and whatever, and who wasn't, right? So he's like, okay, let's let's do this. What we're gonna do is we're gonna take the combined totals and we're gonna even it out so that everybody gets you know an even grade, right? So you had people who continued to work hard, and you had people that continued to be lazy. And each time, you know, a test would come out, Gabe Gabe, I just read, or an exam or whatever. I'm really butchering this story. So basically the people who were working hard and got everybody high grades, so like the average was like B, you know, a B average. You took the people who were successful and you split it up between everybody, everybody got a B. Yay, life is great, woo-hoo! But then those people are like, why am I gonna bust my ass? And so these people can, you know, get get a grade and be, whatever. And then you have the people who are not doing shit doing even less. So by the end of it, everybody was failing. So it just doesn't work.

SPEAKER_01

Communism, socialism, it doesn't work, it just doesn't work. Hold on a second. My wife, I said I'm doing a podcast, she's all right.

Free Education And Work Ethic

SPEAKER_00

So it just, you know. And then like that's just another, and yeah, it's a small part, or it's not even it's not like it's socialism or whatever, but it here it's like you got a free college. Yeah, they have college that you can pay for or whatever. But just because somebody got a free education doesn't mean they're gonna use it and be a pillar of the community. You know what I mean? You you you give people handouts, it doesn't make them oh hey, I'm gonna you know, no, just you have lazy people. People that want to work hard. So the people who work hard should get benefits, they should, you know, enjoy the spoils of their whatever. And that's just kind of that's just how it is. So it's like, I don't know, it just doesn't make you know, I'm not rich and famous, and I'm not I could work harder. I you know, but I'm not expecting you know, just because there's more billionaires now in the world that they should give all the money to everyone else. I mean it, you know, if billionaires they wanted to pay for some stuff or whatever, it's fine, but like look what happened to health care. Giving everybody health care. You know, I used to, I had good, I had blue cross, blue shield when I was a government employee, and go to urgent care, go do whatever was great. And then it got more expensive once Obama did his stupid health care, Obamacare, it cost more money, it took longer for appointments because you had everybody going for stupid shit. Oh, I can go to the doctor now. Hey, I stubbed my toe, you know. It took forever, and it was just like, so then I stopped going to you know, for stuff, I don't know, it's just it's just retarded, and you just liberalism just I almost entitled my last one. I think I already named a episode that the liberal liberalism just ruins everything. Kind of getting off track here. So the video, which for those at home or watching, saw, you know, that it was plainly like trying to get the guy's prints on there. Now, was that a planted gun or was that that individual's gun? I don't know. But regardless, you know, like I said, even if he is a douchebag who just murdered somebody and tossed the gun, and then the way they went about, you can't do that, you know. It's just that's laziness, man. And then a lot of you probably know that when the last president of the Philippines was around, he did a a war on drugs and drug dealers, right? Just killing drug dealers. Which I didn't, I was like, well, you know, I'm not gonna argue with it, but then come to find out that he had a dabble in, he was just getting rid of competition, supposedly. So it's like now it's like, what? And then they had so I don't know that I think that's still going, that's still ongoing. I don't know if that that's ever gonna be come to fruition or come out as whatever. I it's hard for me to really follow Philippine politics because like this video, it's not in English. I don't know what's going on. I mean, I can see what's going on, but and then I try and ask my wife and she's like, oh, he's saying grab it, grab it. And I'm like, okay, well, they're saying a lot of other stuff too. I need to see if there's maybe a software that can translate videos. That would be worth it, actually. But anyway, so then there's another video that was released by the police department, and they're saying, Oh, the video doesn't catch everything, you know, trying to make up excuses and stuff. And it's like, dude, it catches enough, though. Yeah, maybe, like I said, the guy was whatever, a bad guy, tossed his gun, but you don't you can't just bring him up here and tell him to grab the gun, grab the gun, grab the gun. And as soon as the officer forces him to touch it, they put cuffs on him. It's like, what? Sorry, that's not how it works, man. And then there's while I was looking this up, I was like, cop forces something, I can't remember how he looked at it. It brought up another video from 2021 where an officer had shot a drug dealer, and then while he was dead, he he gets a planted gun or drop gun, whatever, he shoots it three times and then leaves it with the and they record this all in video. I don't know whatever happened with that, but but yeah, so I mean, and does this stuff happen all over in the States? Lots, you know, police, yeah, you know, it does. It was a lot worse back in the day. It's a lot harder for dickhead cops like that to get away with stuff like that. So there's it's less of it going on, you know, the body cams. Every cop should have a body cam. Now, I remember when the body cams were coming out, and I was like, what man, they're just trying to monitor us. And yeah, they want to weed out the bad people, but it actually ends up helping officers a lot more because you deal with you know people that are just horrendous pieces of shit, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Ice out, ice out anyway.

Healthcare, Policy, And Incentives

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, so it's crazy. It's it's a little crazy. I have no faith in the police here. Like if something goes down, I'm not gonna, you know, I've I've said the story about the guy who was murdered, you know, on the other side of town, and and I tried to help. I was trying to, you know, it was and they called the police and it took like a half hour. Like, it's like, what is going on? The police station's right there. I could have walked there by now. Where are they at? You know, stuff like that. So I mean, I've I I try and keep some stuff to help mainly you know, my family if something happens, or you know, and I tell my my my kids if you get injured or whatever, get your ass to the hospital if you can. Don't wait around for you know them. Somebody gets injured, take them in your car, take them to the hospital in the ER. But yeah, and some people some people might think like, well, why would you want to live somewhere that's like that? Yeah, I mean it's it's one of the cons, I guess you could say. Emergency service, they do have it, but it's it's not a well-oiled machine like the states, and even there they have problems, you know. But six years so far, so good, I guess. But anyway, I want to I met another American foreigner who who was retired military. He'd been here for like 20 something years. He's got a son that's was born here living in Canada. I don't know. So he loved it, he was like, Man, I love it here. He's like, I'd never in 20, I think he said he's been here 26 years or something like that. He said, I've only been back to the States like two or three times. And I'm like, yeah, I've been here six years and I haven't been back yet. I have no, I mean, eventually I'm sure one of my kids will go back to the States and start a family and all that kind of stuff. And at that point in time, I probably will go back, you know, to visit them and and grandchildren and things like that. But so that happens. I got no. I got no rush. Let's see. So Jim Carrey. Let's talk about Jim Carrey, right? So there's right now a lot of people are talking about some videos of Jim Carrey going to an award show and he just looked different and acted a little different. And you know, a lot of people be like, you know, well, he just had some plastic surgery.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but it just it doesn't fit Jim Carrey, right?

War On Drugs And Media Spin

SPEAKER_00

The eye color changed. There's some people that can look like Jim Carrey, you know. People are like, oh, he got pulled aside, he got pulled out, he's he was replaced. And that seems crazy, right? But lots of people, lots of famous people get plastic surgery. No one, no one, I mean people notice the plastic surgery, but no one thinks like they're replaced. It's only certain people. But this one is a strong argument, especially when you take into account the past few years how vocal Jim Carrey's been against, you know, the system, the Hollywood elites, the Illuminati, the award. He's always bashed award systems and the award, you know, it's like, what are we doing? Like he just thinks it's kind of ridiculous. And now he shows up to this award show like he's all happy and to get it, and this and that. Like, so it's like now he's the the Hollywood that that the system elites, whatever you want to call them, Illuminati, whatever. That's the that's what they want. They want these people to oh, it's great. It's I love this and that, and blah blah blah. So it does kind of make you wonder, you know. Especially the eyes, man. He wouldn't, you know, it's just it is it is very odd because you know, Jim Carrey, and it's probably happened before, and just nobody really noticed it at all, you know. Some people question it or whatever, but it's just it's it is kind of strange. People don't, powerful famous people that they can't, you know, because lots of famous people die. It makes you kind of wonder, like, and they they can't, okay. This person's not not bending to our need, or not bending, bending their need or bending to our will, right? So they take them out. A lot of people die in Hollywood, and they're like, oh, they can't deal with it. Oh, the drugs, oh, the this and that. Like, yeah, there's um there's truth to that, but you know, I talked about like an old Hollywood death, I can't remember who it was, but it was like back in the 40s or 50s, and it was very strange, you know. So it kind of seems like Hollywood has been when I say Hollywood, I mean like, you know, the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it. I'm not saying like the people that make movies, but the people who are in charge of everything that is Hollywood, like they, if someone's not, you know, playing to their tune, dancing to their beat, whatever, they take them out, they have them die by an overdose, which is very convenient. They blacklist them, like Mel Gibson, they or they replace them, or you know, you know, I would say like, you know, maybe they just carry, they took him in, they just brainwashed him, and and you know, he's flooded with all kinds of drugs or something. But his the eyes, though, are they a different color, man? Like, that's just weird. And he just you can always tell by the eyes, he just doesn't yeah, it looks like Jim Carrey, but it does, man, there's something really odd about it. It's kind of scary, it's kind of sad. And then again, when you look into everything Jim Carrey's been saying the past few years, go look it up, go look at him talking about all the stuff, and basically, like he'll say stuff, he's totally talking shit about it, and everybody's laughing because it's Jim Carrey, and he and they think like he's you know being just kind of crazy funny, but you can tell he's being honest and sincere. So it's it's a little crazy, but anyway. Yeah, that's it for me. Appreciate your time, appreciate you hanging out and let me know what you think. And I'll see you guys next time. All right, God bless. All right, bye.
