You're listening to the Objective Jerk, and I am said jerk. What is up? How's it hangin'? What you know good?

Lent Rules And Social Media Pause

SPEAKER_00

So for Lent, I one of the things I did a few things. I didn't just do one, but I discussed it on another podcast, so I'm not gonna get into it. But I I picked, or I picked. One of the things I'm doing for Lent is I'm not posting anything political on my Facebook. I'm pretty much staying off of Twitter, X, and just all that other crap. I'm on Facebook. You know, I do a little scrolling. I'm trying to minimize my social media net or YouTube. I don't know, it's kind of both. It's social media and it's it's a you know, I watch lots of stuff on there. Yes, I get some excuse me, some updates for various things on YouTube. So I don't know, some people argue it's a social media thing, and yeah, I guess the shorts maybe, but I don't really watch the shorts, so I'm just kind of refraining from posting on Facebook and just looking and commenting on anything that's going on. And right now there's lots of crap going on, so but I never said I wouldn't talk about it on my podcast, so here I am. I have a couple things I wanted to talk about, but I mean you can't ignore the stuff that's going on. I watched Star Trek III, and it's

Star Trek III And The Whale Connection

SPEAKER_00

not bad. Obviously, it's not as good as you know Wrath of Khan. I mean, it's pretty good, but what's what's crazy is I've never seen it before, but I've seen the fourth one, which I did not know that it was kind of like a little trilogy inside the movie. So you had Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, and then you have I for always forget what it's called, but it's the one with the whales. I've seen the fourth one many, many times. It's one of my favorites. Like I'd always catch it on whatever, you know, on uh cable or and and uh I'd always watch it. The time travel element, I guess. I've always liked I've always been in time travel. You know, Quantum Leap, one of my favorite shows. I never watched the remake, but but I enjoy the fourth Star Trek, and I re- I don't know if I did question or I did wonder what was going on. Like I wasn't like, why is it this and that? Why is that maybe I just I don't know. It has been a while since I've seen it, but I do remember it. Out of all the Star Trek films, that's the one I remember the most because I've seen it the most, but it's been a long time. But as I'm watching the search for Spock, towards the end, it all kind of just hits me, and I'm like, oh, they're all wearing this things that they wear in the fourth one. Spock's got the robe. You know, I guess maybe I did wonder about the robe, and they got the Klingon ship, the bird of prey. So that's you know, why do they have that? So it kind of all it makes sense now, it makes more sense, right? So I remember where when I was watching, it's been man, it's been almost a week now. But so I watched it and I remember just sitting there and being like, oh my gosh, that's okay, that's the robe he's got. That's why this. Oh, he disobeyed, that's why he was in trouble at the end of Star Trek 4. Now it all kind of makes sense. So yeah, so it kind of like so I'm I'm really eager to watch the fourth one again for the first time in a long time. But like I said, it's the one I've watched the most. And I don't know, I'm it's it all makes sense now, so it's kind of cool, actually, the way they did that. So yeah, so I'm liking it, I'm digging it. You know, I've always liked Star Trek, I just I wasn't like a fanboy or nothing, but I've talked about that in other podcasts, so I'm not gonna regurgitate that. Alright, so I'm just gonna get to it. Maybe I'll finish off with some other stuff. I ran war,

Veteran’s Perspective On Iraq And Iran

SPEAKER_00

right? No more wars. So I I like Trump. Okay, I like him as a president. I think he gets results, he knows what's best, and he knows how to go about doing it. You know, I'm a I'm a veteran, went to Iraq, spent two years in Iraq, and I remember thinking, why are we going to Iraq when it was the Taliban supposedly that you know attacked us on 9-11? You may question all of that. Was it, you know, just something to get us into a fight and then an excuse for the the Freedom Act, Information of Freedom Act, and and going into Iraq and everything? Like it was it was all kind of bullshit. And knowing that, I'm still proud of what I did. I I'm glad I joined the army. I think it made the made me the man I am today. Do I have some problems, you know, a little PTSD and some anger and stuff like that? Yes, you know, I'm working on it. But overall, you know, I'm proud of it. And sometimes I wish I would have completely retired out of out of the army, you know. But I you know, as a veteran, usually generally, you know, we're pretty against war because we've been there, we've seen it. But Iran has kind of been you know, the radical Islamic country forever, for years, you know. Most of the crap that went down, the IED or EFP, the shape charge, the copper cone, was probably manufactured in Iran or was built or taught by Iranians, you know. Like that's just who they are, you know, the IO Topa, IO whatever. Very, very strict laws there. And you know, it's just you know, I I'm I I'm not one to be like, hey, you can't live that way. I don't know, but it does kind of seem like it's a shithole, you know. It's been we've been giving them like Biden, or Biden, Obama, even probably Trump on his last term. They've just been giving money hand over fist to Iran to keep them happy, to keep them contained. But it doesn't being nice does nothing. They're still they're still having their people do crap. They're the you can't just pay them off. You can't. Like Patrick Swayze said, you be nice until it's time to not be nice. And that's how I feel what Trump did. It's like, you know what? I'm done with this crap.

Arguing War, Politics, And Media Narratives

SPEAKER_00

15, 20 years of giving them money, and they still they act like they act like the spoiled brat kid that doesn't do what the parents ask, does what it wants, but yet the parents keep paying their bills and all their stuff and getting them out of trouble. It's enough, man. It's enough. Fuck you. Okay? So I'm all for it, man. And the thing is, is Trump so far, dude, he doesn't miss. He doesn't fuck around. He gets the job done. Their navy's gone. All their heads of state gone. They're done. It's not even gonna be a war. Yes, we have boots in the ground, and yes, we have people who were tragically killed, but it was like from Kuwait, it was friendly fire, which sucks, but other than that, I believe casualties and stuff is gonna be uh minimum, and it's gonna be over quickly, and I don't think I don't think Trump is gonna mess around like they did with Iraq and Afghanistan. And definitely, like, I mean, the whole thing with Afghanistan, how long were we there? What did we really accomplish? Not a whole lot, did some things, but the worst part was the pullout. Oh, Trump's the one that set the date. He's not the one that did it, he's not the one that left all the equipment, all the gun, like all that crap, dude. The pullout was like one of the worst. It's like up there with Vietnam. You know what I mean? Biden was a garbage piece of shit, cocksucking, worthless fuck who actually wasn't president, you know. People were doing it was just horrible. So I don't like war. I don't like being, you know, the world police. I don't like any of that crap. But it's like, you know, enough's enough. And Trump's the one that gets it done. His administration is the one that gets it done, and they're gonna get it done. So everybody that's crying, yeah, some people who like Trump aren't happy with this. That's fine. I I get it, you know. Nobody likes war. Really? War sucks, it really does. But I don't think this is gonna be a war. This is gonna be we fuck you up, we take over, and that's it. And that's what's happened, you know. Everything that Trump has done, his administration has done, have gone in, annihilated, and pulled out, you know. It's that's the way it is, you know. It's kind of an underlying kind of joke there, but it's just I don't know. So I'm for it. I'm fine with it. Go for it. Because it's just, you know, and you see everybody, all the Iranians just celebrating. Dude, so many people are happy about yes, there are some that don't, and I get it, but you know what? Shut the fuck up. First of all, like the people talking shit, like I got a good friend of mine, not the normal guy who who bitches about stuff, but he's complaining about Trump and the war and this and that. I'm just like, dude, first of all, you have no idea what Trump knows. You don't know shit compared to what the president knows and who knows what's going on. So it's like, be unhappy. That's fine. Hey, I don't like it. Shouldn't go to war. But it's like they try and like, oh, it's to it's to to to, you know, what is it? Get everybody to forget about the Epstein files and forget about Trump, there's nothing on there for Trump. He don't care. If anything, this war is helping the Clintons. So shut the fuck up. Like, I'm just tired of this retarded takes. And most of it is not even real. That's what's yes, some people agree with this for a retarded reason, but most of it's just clickbait and it just gets annoying. Very, very annoying. Okay, so that was my my spill. Okay, I support Trump. I think he knows what he's doing, I think his administration knows what they're doing. You know. If worse comes the worst and they call me in, hey, you gotta come in and help do some training. I'm a little old and I'm I'm getting in shape, but you know, I can't do, you know, seven-mile ruck marches and go run for three miles at a time and do all that kind of shit. But I can definitely help train people, get them ready for war. Not that I'm like this expert or anything, but I have some experience. I'd have to relearn some and learn some new stuff, you know. But it's I don't know. Iran's garbage, and I don't know, and then people are like, oh, I don't yeah, I think I think that like I'm trying, like, I don't know, I don't care, but at the same time I'm still trying to be nice. But Israel, like, they act like they can just do whatever and they get it, they get a get out of jail free card, you know. And I'm not about that. I like them as a what do you call it, you know, we have other countries that are allies. Germany, Germany, by the way,

Culture Rants: Gen Z, Education, Immigration

SPEAKER_00

who pulled us out of a jam because Spain sucks cock, so fuck Spain. But but yeah, so it's you know, having allies, but to clean up your allies' mess and take care of them is it's almost it's similar to with Iran, you know. It's like I don't like getting involved with you know, like the Iran and and the stupid from the land to the sea, what what the fuck is the country? I forget that one I was like just no, it's not even our problem. Damn, what the country is right next to Israel. Palestine, there we go. Pala shiit. Pala shiit. But yeah, so Israel though is kind of a problem. They always have been. So you know what? Like I said, let's uh let's roadhouse that shit and not be nice anymore. So anyway. Where's my phone? Yeah, my little note. Where are they all there it is, right there. I found it. Alright. So what else did I see? I saw a trans lawyer trying to make it legal for kids to watch porn because it helps them find their self-worth and if they're what what you know pronoun they are and all that kind of crap. It's like, shut the hell up and you're evil. Get the fuck out of here. I can't not say fuck. I'm sorry. I've been pretty good Lent praying the rosary. I gotta do it after this, actually. I've been fasting, I haven't eaten till three, but I just I can't do it. It's just it's just I gotta say it. I'm sorry. I also read that Gen Z is officially the most retarded generation. So generations always get a little smarter and smarter. Technology, experience, history, whatever. They learn from mistakes, they get all the stuff. Gen Z is the first one that's kind of going back. That's because of this damn thing right here. Nobody knows how to write cursive, nobody knows how to spell, nobody knows how to do nothing because chat chat GPT will do it for them. I've said this before, man. I mean, it's not a surprise. You know, we knew that people were getting stupid. You know? I mean, I get stupid, like I, you know, I can't remember how to spell it. Oh, it'll show me. There we go. I don't need to know. Do they even do spelling bees anymore? Probably not. Education system sucks dick. Let's see. Another American was killed by an illegal immigrant with a long rap sheet. What, North Carolina or something? Does anybody talk about that? It's in the news. Nope. No, they don't. So right now I'm like, fuck illegal immigrants. But I'm getting to the point where it's like, fuck immigrants, but not really. But it's close. But yeah. Oh, they're just undocumented. No, they're illegal. Get the fuck out. Get the hell out. And then last but not least, where am I at? I damn, I'm only 15 minutes. I feel like I've been going on forever. Okay, so I don't watch much TV or movies, and when I do, it's old classic stuff like Star Trek, right? The old stuff, not the stupid crap that's on TV now. I don't even know how I'd go about watching some of the new retarded shit. Ah, ice coffee. It's good. But I am watching, I do watch some older shows on Netflix occasionally. I'll get like I watched uh Elementary, which I liked. Now I'm watching Bones, which is about an anthropologist doctor that studies bones to you know help solve murders and stuff with an FBI agent. My wife used to watch it, and I I've watched a few episodes in the past, and you know, it was fine. Not really my thing, but now I'm at the point where there's nothing good on anymore. Even, man,

Old Shows, New Agendas, And Storytelling

SPEAKER_00

even if something looks good, I just don't want to support it. You know what I mean? Because everybody that's involved in everything just sucks now. Like, I don't care. I just don't care that Hollywood is crumbling, and you know, I really don't. Though something else will come about, something will come out of it, you know. That new movie with what's his face? My I don't even know the name of the movie, but he's he gets stood up at his wedding, he goes to Italy and for the honeymoon, and it's like very it's a like a Catholic kind of movie, and it's I don't know, supposedly it's pretty good. Mio something? What the hell is his name? The the comedian who's kind of big. He was in Mol cop. Cannot think of his name. Anyway, that guy. He's a Catholic, which is kind of cool. But there are movies, you know, it's gonna we'll still have entertainment, and hopefully, once this shit crumbles and burns to the ground, we will have good entertainment again. You know, and I don't know, it's just I talked to like some friends of mine, they're like, what do you mean? And it's just like you can tell when a writer is not trying to write a good story, they're trying to they're they're taking the things that are in the headlines, the things that are going on, you know, the the checkboxing, and they write around that. How can we make this work? How can we add this? And it ends up being crap, you know. Instead of just a basic story, good versus evil, good, you know, triumphing over evil. But that's the thing, is everybody in Hollywood is evil. They don't know what the difference between good and evil, you know what I mean? Because they're all evil pieces of shit. Fuck you, Tom Hanks. But I don't know, it's just anyway, kind of going off again, as I do. So Bones. I'm enjoying it. It's interesting. I like this kind of show. It is very anti-Christian, though. A lot of anti-Christian themes go through it, and it's kind of there's, you know, obviously the main character, she's an anthropologist doctor, she's science, and you know, she don't believe in all that crap. And all that crap. The stuff that I believe in is not crap, but that came out wrong. But which is fine, you know. And then her partner, the FBI guy, Booth, he's a Catholic. He's a shitty Catholic, you know, child at a wedlock, sleeping around, doing all this kind of stuff. You know, he's he's a bad Catholic, or whatever you call it. But, you know, hey, he's still a Catholic. It's better than not being one, I guess. But it's just, and that's fine, you know, like he. But it's like what was it? There was there was an episode at the very beginning, it had like a Bible thumping guy, and I'm like, oh, that's the killer right there. They're gonna fucking have him be the killer, and lo and behold, that's what it was. I'm just tired of I mean this show is older now. This this movie or this show started in 2007, I think is when it came out. So but back then I didn't notice it. I've talked about it before, but it's like movies and TV have and they make Christians out to be the bad guy

Faith, Catholicism, And Media Stereotypes

SPEAKER_00

all the time. If they're a Christian, they're either a crazy, you know, Christian that their son became a serial killer, and awhile, or you know, they're a murderer because oh, they don't believe. You know, they just make them out to be psycho crazy, whatever, you know what I mean? And it just it gets old, man. It gets tiring and it gets old. But I mean, it works because I thought the same thing. I used to think the same thing. I thought, oh my gosh, they're so stupid, and they they're afraid of the dark and they need something. This you know it, and it was all from movies and TV. It influenced. I wasn't an atheist, I don't think. I was more agnostic, but I think, well, no, I probably wasn't I would call myself, would have called myself an atheist at one time, and it was from movies and music and TV, you know what I mean? I would just it's it's all anti-Christian. What's so wrong about being Christian? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. If people believe in God, believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was res resurrected and is Catholic and lives by Catholic uh Catholic ideals, they're a good person. Oh what about this? What about what about the the uh what is it, the crusades or the all kinds of stuff, and like all that shit has been if you actually research it all the things we have now, orphanages, hospitals, all the stuff, it was all from the Catholic Church. Everything. Look it up, just look it up. Try do me a favor and just look at some pro-Catholic whatever. I miss Christendom. Check that you check out that channel. I love that dude. He I just feel like I'm talking or listening to an uncle that's Catholic and he's just teaching me the way, you know what I mean? I've said I've talked about him before, but I miss Christendom. Watch his videos, man. They are I don't know. They are awesome, I think. So just give it a chance, man. That's what I did. I just got to a point where I was like, man, I don't know, I am missing something. I've talked about before. So if you're interested. In my little spiritual journey, go through, scroll back to some older podcasts. If you want me to talk about it again, let me know. But I don't, you know, that's old news. But you know, I went through it, and most people that do kind of have an

Closing Notes And Listener Feedback

SPEAKER_00

issue or they look at you know Christianity or Catholicism with an open mind and study it, they end up becoming Catholic. So you know, I don't know if you feel like you're just missing something, something ain't right. Something is missing in my heart, in my soul. Give it a chance. That's all I'm saying. Anyway, that's about it for me. Did my rant, did my speech. I appreciate your time. Thanks for hanging out. I quit doing the thumbnails, at least on the last one. I think I'm not gonna do it this time either. It actually seemed like my one on Rumble, it made the videos have a few more views, but I just I don't know. I kind of felt like it was not my channel. You know, I see the thumbnails on there, and it's like I don't know. Anyway, um, but yeah, thanks for hanging out. Let me know what your opinion is. Email me, theobjective jerk at gmail.com. You know, I wouldn't mind a little dialogue back and forth, talk about in the podcast. So anyway, appreciate your time. I hope all is well and God bless. All right, bye.
